How We Do It:
1. Getting to know you
We begin every project with defining your goals, functional requirements, and the investment level needed to achieve a beautifully curated design. We use questionnaires, interviews, and your own inspiration images to understand your needs and aesthetic style. Every client is unique; getting to understand you and your needs in detail is key to developing designs unique to each client.
2. Conceptualizing the Magic:
After understanding who you are, your goals, and what makes your heart sing we kick off the project with creating an overriding concept and vision for the space. Consequent sub-concepts are created in line with the original vision to ensure cohesiveness throughout the home. These initial design concepts are presented for each space along with a furniture layout that defines the functionality and flow of each room.
3. Interior Architectural Planning & Design:
This is the phase where we tackle all the interior architectural elements within your project. During this time, we further develop approved concepts for all built aspects of the space such as ceilings, fireplaces, flooring designs and millwork. Ideas for architectural elements are conveyed through finishes, samples, and images and are presented for final approval.
4. Record it all:
Once the design is approved, all interior architectural components, written specifications, drawings and materials are drawn and final working drawings that show flooring and ceiling designs, elevations, trimwork detail, and lighting concepts are produced.
5. Developing the Interior Vision:
- Once the Interior architectural phase is completed and documented, we focus on developing the details and curating all the interior design elements in the space to be able to show you complete design concepts for each room, including a scaled furniture plan, all related furniture & furnishings such as rugs, decorative lighting, custom window treatments to show you exactly how all the elements come together. We understand that you may not like everything chosen for you, no biggie! After we present, if there are any items you wish to replace, revisions will be made and new items will be proposed for those areas. These final designs are presented to you and upon approval are priced and final proposals are sent.
6. Making it Happen:
- With a clear design and related costs established, we now move forward with purchasing and executing all approved items. We take ordering, tracking, and delivery of all items off your hands. We make sure that all items are delivered on time and ready for installation day. All furnishings that are ordered are received at our receiving warehouse, inspected for damages, tagged and stored for delivery/installation day. When all items have arrived at the receiving warehouse, the RA Design team sets up a time to deliver and styles each space, tweaking and refining until the last accessory is in place.
7. The Big Reveal:
- Once any construction is complete and all your items are received,, the installation phase begins. We coordinate deliveries and are there to place your items, arrange your furniture, and accessorize and style your space down to the last detail. After delivering all the finishing touches your space will be professionally photographed at our expense. Your project is now complete and we hope you love it as much as we think you will!
